The term amazing seems incredibly insignificant to describe this "dying town".
Civita di Bagnoregio is quite literally a town perched on a cliff in the Italian countryside. With outstanding views of the entire Lazio region, landslides, erosion, and siesmic activity may have reduced this destination (accessible only on foot) in size, but has also elevated it to heights that make it float above the clouds on a foggy day. With history that dates back to the Etruscan era, this town that has an apparent full time population of 12 (yes 12?!!!) is an absolute must see if you're visiting central Italy. However, if you can't make it in person, this stunning photograph taken in 2015 is a great substitute.
